Hej,

Hi guys,
Got my 226w delivered last night from Komplett and is of the 'S' variety too.
Had about an hour with it and on the whole I am liking it a lot. Looks super cool and the panel is rendering luscious colours out of the box. Full screen PC looks great, not had chance to connect to 360 yet.
BUT ... on playing DVDs through the PC I notice the backlight bleed on the big time. Top, bottom and both sides. To be fair, I haven't calibrated it in any way, just toggled the preset Text/Movie etc. Has anyone else - particularly the Komplett customers - noticed this? It was a bit of a shock and off putting at first but after short amount of time, could live with it. It's only because the panel's great in other aspects AND its taken so flippin long to arrive since order that I'm reluctant to send it back, if they'll take it, and gamble on getting a better - or worse - 226BW.
What d'yer reckon? Maybe I'll post a pic for your comparison?

226BW [R] modeller.

Hi, thanks for the great review. I have a couple of questions.
First off, where are you from? Is you monitor for the american market or european? I am from europe and over here we may be having a different issue. The part number (LS22MEWSFV) in all the photos of the S and A models i've seen is suffixed with an /XSF, and over here we have the suffix /EDC (which means EU market if i am not mistaken). The thing is that there have been reports of panels simply without the marker S, A or C - simply blank (226bw [R] -blank-). Have you ever heard about this? or anyone else for that matter.
I've been told by a retailer(and their general supplier)that this blank version is manufactured in Galanta, Slovakia and that they use Samsung panels exclusively! Someone please confirm, or answer if you know anything about the subject.
