Hello,

I've been on the hunt for a new TV and pretty much landed on the 7 series. I haven't actually decided between getting the 48" or the 55", mostly because of wall space and the 2000kr difference in price. If I do end up choosing the 55", I wonder if I should go for the JS8005 instead as they cost almost the same.

Do you guys have any thoughts on which one of those to choose? It's been a bit hard to compare since I haven't found many reviews of the JS8000 (I guess it's because it's an European exclusive model).

JS is edge lit whereas JU is backlit. Potentially this could yield better backlight uniformity on the JU, but so far reports have been positive towards the JS in this regard as well. The JS looks a bit different, so you might want to have a look at them physically.

The "S'UHD" I wouldn't prioritise that high.

Those are the curved versions, and not the flat. I don't think it matters regarding the experience or rating of the screens though. Are you living/buying in Denmark? If so, then the JU7005 have just had a bump up in price, to the same price as JS8005. That being the case, I would personally prefer the js8005, as it seems to be more future proof (maybe I am too naive?), and be slimmer.

It in general also scores very well in other tests I've found, and so does the ju7005, but as I recall, the js8005 preforms slightly better, if not looking on gaming according to this site: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-typ ... d-uhd/best

As you may see, then the difference is really small. How annoying this may be, the choice is not really given beforehand. On the bright side, you can wait for a good deal on any of the two of them, since I think you will be happy with both.

I do not own any of these myself, but did some research before Black Friday. I also find it a difficult choice since I like the full back (ju7005) instead of edge (js8005), but I think I will cross my fingers and hope for a good panel in the js8005 or return and get a new, if I am not pleased.
