Raya and the Last Dragon samt nye live-action film som Pinocchio, Disenchanted og Peter Pan & Wendy rykker til Disney+ enten eksklusivt eller som simultan-udgivelse.

Disney går ikke lige så drastisk til værks som Warner Bros, men seerne kan dog se frem til flere store filmpremierer på Disney+ i 2021. Det sker i kølvandet på, at selskabet allerede har rykket bl.a. Mulan og den kommende Pixar-film Soul til Disney+
- "It was announced that Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Raya and the Last Dragon will be available on Disney+ with Premier Access in most Disney+ markets, at the same time as it is released in theaters, on March 5, 2021. Premier Access for the title will be priced at $29.99. Internationally, many upcoming original titles from Disney Television Studios, FX and 20th Century Studios will also premiere on Disney+ as Star Originals," lød udmeldingen fra Disney på selskabets Investor Day.
Disney siger, at Premier Access, som man også brugte til at udgive Mulan på Disney+ i visse markeder, tages i brug igen "i de fleste Disney+ markeder" til Raya and the Last Dragon. Det er en kommende storfilm fra Disney Animation. I USA koster adgang 30 dollars ovenpå det normale abonnement.
Andre film såsom Pinocchio, Disenchanted, Sister Act 3 og Peter Pan & Wendy rykker fra biograferne til Disney+. I hvert fald på overordnet plan - der kan være variationer for de enkelte markeder, hvilket Disney ikke kom nærmere ind på.

Storfilm såsom Black Widow er stadig på plakaten til biografudgivelse, men selskabet lagde ikke skjul på, at der kan ske yderligere forskydninger, afhængigt af hvordan 2021 udvikler sig.
Selskabet sagde i samme omgang, at Disney+ har oversteget forventningerne markant og at tjenesten nu har 86.8 mio. abonnenter. Målet for 2024 er opjusteret til 300-350 mio. Abonnenter på tværs af Disneys streamingtjenester (Disney+, Hulu og ESPN+).

Newly revealed characters from the film include a street-savvy 10-year-old entrepreneur named Boun, the formidable giant Tong, and a thieving toddler Noi with her band of Ongis. The feature film is directed by Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada and produced by Osnat Shurer and Peter Del Vecho.
Pinocchio is coming to Disney+ in a compelling new live-action retelling that will leverage state-of-the-art CGI to bring Pinocchio to life. A living puppet, with the help of a cricket as his conscience, must prove himself worthy to become a real boy in a musical remake of the Disney animated classic. Robert Zemeckis directs and Tom Hanks stars.
Peter Pan & Wendy, inspired by the Disney animated classic, has David Lowery (“Pete’s Dragon”) at the helm. A young girl rebels against “growing up” by going with her two brothers to a magical land ruled by an ageless boy obsessed with adventure who is locked in an ongoing battle with a pirate captain. The cast includes Jude Law as Captain Hook and Yara Shahidi (“black-ish,” “grown-ish”) in the role of Tinker Bell. The film will premiere on Disney+.
Disenchanted, a sequel to the hit film “Enchanted,” will stream exclusively on Disney+. Amy Adams returns as Giselle, who found her life flipped upside down when she fell out of her animated fantasy world and discovered herself stuck in real-life Manhattan.
Sister Act 3, the third film in the beloved “Sister Act” series, is in development. Whoopi Goldberg is on board to star and produce, with Tyler Perry also signed on as a producer on the project. “Sister Act 3” will premiere on Disney+. |
