Microsoft melder i dag, at Dolby Vision nu officielt understøttes i spil på Xbox Series X og Series S. Ved lancering er over 100 spil tilgængelige i Dolby Vision HDR.

Ud over Dolby Atmos-lyd, så kan alle ejere af Xbox Series X og S nu nyde spil i Dolby Vision HDR, som kan håndtere et udvidet spænd af lys og farver. Nyheden blev annonceret sidste år og Dolby Vision gaming udrulles officielt fra i dag.

- "There are more than 100 next-gen HDR titles optimized for Series X|S that will feature Dolby Vision, and in the future you’ll see more games like Halo Infinite taking full advantage of Dolby Vision," sagde Katie Slattery, Senior Program Manager.

Eksempler på spil, som er tilgængelige i Dolby Vision er: Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, DiRT 5, Psychonauts 2, F1 2021, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Gears 5, Borderlands 3, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Metro Exodus og The Division 2. Halo Infinite vil "be taking full advantage of Dolby Vision" når det udgives til december.

Dolby Vision på Xbox Series X/S er kompatibelt med andre 'next-gen' funktioner såsom 120fps (billeder per sekund), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), raytracing og ALLM (auto low latency mode), ifølge Microsoft. Xbox-konsoller understøttede allerede grundformatet HDR10, der ligeledes kan åbne for udvidet spænd af lys og farver. Dolby Vision gaming er ikke supporteret på Xbox One, Xbox One S og Xbox One X.

When you are connected to a Dolby Vision enabled TV and Dolby Vision is enabled on Xbox Series X|S, the consoles will automatically enhance your existing games to deliver a rich, immersive experience unrivaled by any other game console," forklarer Xbox.


Dit TV skal understøtte Dolby Vision
For at nyde spil i Dolby Vision fra Xbox Series X/S, skal dit TV understøtte Dolby Vision. Herudover skal du sikre dig, at alle kredsløb til billedredigering er slået fra i TV'ets Dolby Vision-billedprofil. Særligt TV'ets 'motion smoothing', som tilfører markant signalforsinkelse.

Dolby Vision understøttes i TV-skærme fra bl.a. LG, Panasonic, Philips og Sony. Kun LG TV kan håndtere Dolby Vision i 4K 120Hz.

Dolby og Xbox "arbejder tæt sammen med udviklere for at levere de værktøjer, de har brug for, så deres titler kan drage fuld fordel af Dolby Vision", lyder det.

Xbox er første spilkonsol, som kan levere spil i Dolby Vision HDR-billedformat. Sonys PlayStation 5 understøtter hverken Dolby Vision eller Dolby Atmos i spil.
