Microsoft afslører fulde specifikationer på Xbox Series X

Microsoft havde allerede bekræftet, at Xbox Series X får HDMI 2.1, UHD Blu-ray, grafikydelse på 12 TFlops, bagudkompatibilitet mm. I dag har selskabet løftet sløret for de fulde specifikationer og forklarer, at man i udviklingen har sigtet mod"4K60, op til 120fps", altså spil i 4K-opløsning og 60 billeder per sekund med mulighed for op til 120 billeder per sekund. Microsoft siger videre, at man i to år har samarbejdet med førende TV-producenter om at sikre, at TV-skærme er klar til Xbox Series X. - "This has included developing brand new technology such as Dynamic Latency Input (DLI) as well as helping to shape the HDMI 2.1 specification by adding new gaming-centric features such as support for 120hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). The team has also been working with the industry’s leading TV manufacturers for the past two years to ensure the display ecosystem is ready for the features coming with Xbox Series X," sagde Microsoft.Mike Rayner, teknisk direktør hos The Coalition, afslørede i samme forbindelse, at Gears 5 "is already running over 100fps and that the team is investigating implementing 120fps gameplay for multiplayer modes, giving players an experience never before seen on consoles".
