Sony lancerer i 2020 en serie af 8K LCD TV og 4K LCD TV med zone-styret LED samt en række mere prisvenlige 4K TV. Nogle få af dem har HDMI 2.1 porte.

Nye Sony 8K LCD TV
På CES 2020 løftede Sony sløret for årets nye modeller, herunder anden generation 8K. I ZH8-serien lanceres 75 og 85 tommer skærme med 8K-opløsning. Sidste års 98-tommer ZG9 fortsætter i 2020.

Sony siger, at ZH8 har zone-styret LED bag LCD-panelet, men kommenterer ikke på antallet af zoner eller den maksimale lysstyrke, ud over at sige, at den maksimale lysstyrke overstiger 1000 nits. De nye 8K TV er desuden udstyret med Sonys 'X1 Ultimate' videoprocessor og en ny 'ambient optimization' funktion, som "automatisk justerer billedets lysstyrke til lyset i seerens omgivelser".



Sony bekræftede, at ZH8 er udstyret med HDMI, herunder mulighed for 4K i op til 120 billeder per sekund. Den kan ydermere skilte med tre HDR-formater (HDR10, HLG og Dolby Vision) Android 9, Dolby Atmos, Apple AirPlay 2, HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, og et nyt 'frame tweeter' lydsystem.

- "The most immersive experience is realised through enhanced picture quality, slim design and Sound-from-Picture Reality with Sony’s new Frame Tweeter technology. The frame tweeter vibrates the frame of the TV to emit sound, giving customers the feeling that sound is coming directly from the screen," sagde Sony.




Nye Sony 4K LCD TV
Den japanske producent havde også medbragt en fuld serie af 4K LCD TV, herunder XH95 og XH90), begge med zone-styret LED-baglys. Disse skærme findes i formater fra 49 til 85 tommer.

Sony specificerer ikke antallet af lyszoner, men siger, at 95-serien overstiger 1000 nits lysstyrke. XH90 har laverer maksimal lysstyrke.

Sony XH95 har Sonys Flush Surface-design, hvor rammen er reduceret på 55, 65 og 75-tommer modellerne. Denne model har også Sonys teknologi som udvider betragtningsvinklerne (X-Wide Angle). XH90 har ikke systemet.



Begge er Android TV, som er kompatible med Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, AirPlay 2, HomeKit, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa og Chromecast. Det vil blive leveret med Android 0 præinstalleret.

Sony siger, at XH90 vil have HDMI 2.1 efter en softwareopdatering, som aktiverer 4K120 via HDMI.



Sony lancerer også nye TV i mellemklassen, der omfatter XH85 i 43 til 49 tommer, XH81 i 43 til 65 tommer, XH80 i 43 til 85 tommer samt  X70 i 43 til 65 tommer.

Netflix Calibrated Mode er understøttet fra XH90 og op, mens IMAX Enhanced er understøtter fra XH95 og op. CalMAN AutoCal findes i XH80 og opefter.
