MGM og 20th Century Fox frigiver fire James Bond-film med Daniel Craig i rollen som agent 007 på UHD Blu-ray. Det bliver med Dolby Vision HDR, men uden Atmos.

James Bond i 4K Dolby Vision
Hele James Bond-kollektionen, fra Connery til Craig, kan allerede streames i 4K-opløsning fra Apple iTunes, men dette bliver første gang, at filmene kan opleves i nogen form for HDR.

Daniel Craig Collection, som består af Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall og Spectre, udgives på UHD Blu-ray i 4K-opløsning og Dolby Vision HDR. På lydsiden får man 5.1 DTS-HD (7.1 DTS-HD i Spectre). Der er således hverken Dolby Atmos eller DTS:X inkluderet. Pakken dækker over fire UHD Blu-ray-skiver og fire Blu-ray-skiver.

- "Today Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced The Daniel Craig Collection, the complete collection of the four James Bond films starring Daniel Craig as 007, which will be available for the first time on 4K Blu-ray in Dolby Vision," lød det fra de to studier.



Dette er de første James Bond-film, som udgives på UHD Blu-ray. Det er samtidig værd at notere sig, at det er første gang, at 20th Century Fox udgiver UHD Blu-ray-skiver i Dolby Vision HDR-format uden tilhørende HDR10+ version. Filmene ligger foruden Dolby Vision lagret i HDR10 på skiverne. Studiet var, sammen med Samsung og Panasonic, med til at danne HDR10+ alliancen som modsvar til netop Dolby Vision.

Daniel Craig er i øvrigt i gang med at indspille sin femte Bond-film, som får titlen No Time to Die, når den har premiere i april 2020. 

Studierne kommenterer ikke på de resterende film, men da titlerne allerede findes tilgængelige i 4K - fra 4K-restaureringer foretaget for flere år siden - på iTunes, så det giver os forhåbninger om, at de også når ud på UHD Blu-ray i nærmeste fremtid.

Daniel Craig Collection udgives i USA den 22. oktober 2019 og lidt senere i Europa og Norden. Den nordiske udgivelse står til at blive udgivet den 21. november for 450 kroner.
