Det nye franske firma Reavon lancerer to UHD Blu-ray-afspillere i april. UBR-X100 og UBR-X200 beskrives begge som universalafspillere i high-end segmentet.
Reavon melder sig på banen
Det er de første afspillere – og produkter af nogen art – fra Reacon, som er ejet af franske Groupe Archisoft. Selskabet siger, at afspillerne er designet som high-end produkter til video- og lydentusiaster.
Reavon beskriver UBR-X100 og UBR-X200 som universalafspillere, der kan rotere skriver i UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, DVD, DVD Audio (ifølge Reavons certificeringslogoer), SACD og CD. De klarer begge Dolby Atmos og DTS:X på lydsiden samt HDR10 og Dolby Vision på billedsiden. Der fremgår ikke support af HDR10+.
Begge afspillere er udstyret med to HDMI-udgange; en til video og en til lyd.

Det hører efterhånden til sjældenhederne, at vi ser nye produkter i dette segment. Salget af UHD Blu-ray-afspillere har på det største marked, USA, været nedadgående siden 2018, mens det i Danmark i hele perioden har været en niche.
Oppo forlod markedet i 2018 og Samsung fulgte efter i starten af 2019. LG, Panasonic, Sony og en lille håndfuld andre selskaber sælger stadig UHD Blu-ray-afspillere og i slutningen af 2020 blev PS5 og Xbox Series X begge lanceret med UHD Blu-ray support. Ikke desto mindre forbliver markedet en niche, hvilket også de nye afspillere fra Reavon vidner om.
Forskellen på de to modeller er de analoge lydudgange og visse andre lydfunktioner i UBR-X200. Denne pulje af lydfunktioner fordobler prisen.

Vi har ikke hørt fra danske distributører, men UBR-X100 og UBR-X200 vil kunne importeres fra bl.a. Tyskland fra april. I Tyskland koster de hhv. 800 og 1600 Euro.
