Ud over A1 OLED-tv’et og HDR-kompatible Full HD-tv, vil Sony i 2017 lancere XE94, XE94, XE90, XE85 og XE80. De har alle fem Android TV. XE94 og XE93 understøtter Dolby Vision.

Sony 2017 LCD-tv
Sony vil haveen omfattende portefølje af tv-skærme i 2017. Sidste års ZD9 vil forblive på markedet i 2017 for at repræsentere flagskibs-LCD, mens den nye A1 skal repræsentere flagskibs-OLED.

Lige under finder man XE94 og XE93 modellerne og i mellemklassen ligger XE90, XE85 og XE80 serierne. 


XE94 og XE93 er efterfølgere til sidste års XD94 og XD93. Førstnævnte vil have bagbelyst LED med zone-styring af lyset – ligesom sidste år – mens sidstnævnte vil have kantbelyst LED med et begrænset local dimming-system.

Sony fortalte FlatpanelsDK, at antallet af zoner er hævet på XE93 ved at bruge et nye”quad-edge LED backlighting system” – altså kant-LED på alle fire sider – og en”improved zone structure”. XE94 har mere eller mindre samme antal zoner, som sidste års modeller, men har højere maksimal lysstyrke og større ”color volume”, fik vi at vide. Det sidste begreb relaterer sig til hvordan farver gengives ved samtlige lysstyrke-niveauer.

Både XE94 og XE93 vil understøtter både HDR10 og Dolby Vision-formaterne. Det tredje HDR-format, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) tilføjes via en firmware-opdatering senere på året, bekræfter Sony.


Som sædvanlig ville Sony ikke ud med konkrete tal, men de fortalte os dog, at den maksimale lysstyrke er højere end sidste års modeller. Sidste år kom Sony tæt på de 1000 nits, som kræves for at opnå ”UHD Premium”-certificeringen. Sony er dog stadig ikke interesserede i at støtte op om dette initiativ, selv hvis tv-skærmene kan bestå testen.



Processor X1 og Android TV
Bevæger man sig ned i mellemklassen finder man XE90, XE85 og XE80. De to førstnævnte har Sonys ”4K HDR Processor X1”, som er processoren til billedbehandlingen. Denne chip har hidtil været forbeholdt topmodeller.

XE90 har desuden ”X-tended Dynamic Range PRO”. Det er Sonys markedsføringsterm for det mere lysstærke panel, som kræves til HDR.

Den billigste 4K HDR-model i programmet er XE80. Den har ingen af de to ovenfornævnte funktioner.


Samtlige 4K-modeller vil i 2017 bygge på Googles Android TV-platform. Fra app-butikken kan du hente apps og spil. En indbygget Chromecast-funktion gør det muligt at benytte tv-skærmene præcis, som du ville benytte en Chromecast.

Sony fortæller FlatpanelsDK, at alle omtalte 2017-modeller vil have Android TV version 6.0 ved lancering, men senere på året blive opdateret til version 7.0.

Sonys 2017-modeller kommer på markedet i foråret 2017. Priserne kendes endnu ikke.
