'Avatar: The Way of Water' frigives d. 4. april på danske filmtjenester

Over 100 dage efter biografpremieren får danskere hjemme i stuerne mulighed for streame Avatar: The Way of Water. Det sker ikke på Disney+ men på filmtjenester som Apple TV og Blockbuster.

Disney har med Avatar: The Way of Water forlænget biografernes eksklusivitetsperiode fra de 30-70 dage, som har været normen efter coronaperioden, til 111 dage.

Hollywood-studiet har samtidig rykket rundt på udgivelsesvinduerne, så Avatar: The Way of Water ikke lander på Disney+. Den udsendes i stedet på TVOD, altså filmleje/køb. Det er tjenester som Apple TV (iTunes), Blockbuster, Google Play Film og Rakuten.

- "James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water will be available from all major digital retailers in Denmark on April 4," skriver Disney i dag i en pressemeddelelse.

4K, Dolby Atmos og ekstramateriale

Disney bekræfter, at filmen vil kunne streames i 4K UHD og Dolby Atmos-lyd. Kun Apple TV (iTunes) sælger og udlejer i Danmark film fra Disney i 4K-kvalitet og Dolby Atmos-lyd. Der nævnes intet om 48fps HFR (High Frame Rate) eller 3D på hjemmeudgivelsen. Den danske udgivelse sælges med ekstramateriale, som fremgår af tabellen herunder. Flatpanels samler i forbindelse med premieren op på mulighederne for filmkøb/leje.
