@bbplayer, mit nye, 4k tv lader vente på sig, men jeg faldt over den her:

Thanks, cjawnik, for picking this up.
I racked my brains long & hard till I finally found the solution just 2 nights back, in fact.
The 676 has 2 HDMI OUT ports – MAIN & SUB. MAIN is hooked up to LG 4K TV while the SUB goes into the bedroom with a Samsung 1080p (only HD TV) mirroring what’s shown on CBL/SAT. Apparently, eventhough those are 2 separate ports, the 676 is ‘forced’ to output the lower signal (1080p) on both connections – regardless of the 4K reso from, say NVIDIA Shield!
Solution now is every time The Missus needs to watch some HD content on the Samsung TV (SUB), and this is not the most permanent fix I know, I just go to Onkyo's “Input/Output Assign” menu & activate BOTH MAIN & SUB HDMI OUTs.
Watching UHD vids on the LG 4K TV though will have to wait till the Samsung HD TV is turned off. Otherwise, I will have to settle for HD-downscaled 4K on the main hall.
Switching, I’m afraid, will continue for a bit because I don’t have plans of buying yet a second UHD TV."
