Jeg har bøvlet med lydindstillingerne på mit LG C9 og fandt nedenstående forumpost på avsforum, som forklarer de meget kryptiske indstillinger.

Den har hjulpet mig - håber den kan hjælpe andre :)

HDMI Input Audio Format
PCM: Tell the source device to only send PCM 2.0 Stereo.
Bitstream: Tell the source you can handle LPCM 5.1/7.1 and Bitstream. This should have been called Auto or All.

Sound Out
PCM: Downmix everything to PCM 2.0 Stereo.
Auto: Downmix LPCM 5.1/7.1 to PCM 2.0 Stereo. Downmix Dolby MAT Atmos and Dolby TrueHD Atmos to Dolby Digital Plus Atmos. Downmix DTS:X and DTS MA to DTS.
Pass Through: Do not convert the audio.

In the HDMI Input Audio Format you always want Bitstream. Unless you have an old brain dead source device you should never pick PCM here.

In the Sound Out menu if you are using eARC you want Pass Through. The Auto option downmixes to what will fit over ARC which defeats the purpose of eARC. PCM is for brain dead AVRs and at that point you might as well use the internal speakers.

tl;dr: For eARC you want Bitstream and Pass Through. Never pick PCM.
